Toyota Hilux Box Type Ambulance Fleet – MOH (Ivory Coast)

AutoZone UAE built 15 Toyota Hilux ambulances for Ivory Coast under a direct tender from the Ministry of Health. The Ministry needed a bulk ambulance fleet that could reach patients away from sealed roads. We completed every unit as a box-type ambulance on the Toyota Hilux 4×4 single-cab chassis. Production finished in the second quarter of 2025, and the full fleet shipped in one consignment.

A box-type ambulance gives the crew more headroom and wall space than a panel van conversion. It also lets us repeat one interior layout across all 15 vehicles. Crews trained on one unit can work in any other. Each ambulance runs the 2GD-FTV 2.4 litre diesel, producing 150 PS and 400 Nm of torque. We supplied the fleet in left-hand drive with four-wheel drive and manual transmission. Full specifications sit on our Toyota Hilux Box Ambulance page.

Every vehicle carries an advanced life support fit-out. The auto-loading stretcher sits on a fixed platform with a doctor’s chair at the head end. Equipment includes a defibrillator monitor and ECG machine from Europe, plus a portable ventilator from the USA. A fixed oxygen system, portable suction unit and spine board complete the clinical kit. Each unit also carries a main light bar with PA system, LED strobes and scene lights. An inverter with an additional battery powers equipment at the scene.

We delivered all 15 units in under three months from contract award. We fabricate box bodies in our own UAE facilities, so production never waits on an outside supplier. AutoZone Assembling LLC holds ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification. See our full ambulance range or browse Projects & Fleets. Contact AutoZone UAE to discuss your fleet requirement.
