65 Police/Prisoner Transport Van – MOI (Senegal)

AutoZone Assembling LLC supplied 65 vehicles to the Ministry of Interior in Senegal under government tender: 50 police transport units and 15 prisoner transport vans. Both builds run on the Iveco Daily 4×2 platform, chosen for interior volume and payload.

The police units carry more than ten personnel each and were specified for public order deployment. We fitted bulletproof glazing on all sides and a heavy-duty bullbar with front protection, then developed in-house kits to shield crews during transport. Surveillance cameras in each vehicle link back to a central station, so commanders can see conditions on the ground and issue instructions while a unit is deployed. A public address system handles crowd communication from the vehicle itself. Interiors use leathered canvas seating, which holds up under heavy rotation and cleaning better than fabric. We upgraded the air conditioning with an additional compressor, since these vehicles idle for long periods in heat with a full complement of personnel aboard.

The prisoner transport vans share the same base platform and protection package, configured for secure movement between detention facilities and court. Every unit in the order carries vehicle tracking. Senegal’s Ministry of Interior runs these vehicles across prisoner movement, police deployment, and border force duties. We build armored vehicles and special vehicles to this standard as a police vehicle manufacturer supplying government fleets internationally.
